After 3 years of planning and preparation, there are 0 days left before the Daley’s will be packed and on the road in a 36-foot travel trailer with our 4 kids. We have hit the road on an epic business and personal adventure around the outer edge of the US.

A few days ago, I (Jessica) woke up and asked the Lord to show me a verse or passage for our trip. This was after some of us had already chosen our 2019 One Word. In the Daley family, some of our 2019 One Words are Enjoyment, Nurture, and Prayer…a few more are still contemplating. I opened right up to Psalm 68. Read how pertinent this is to our lives.

Psalm 68 (NIV)
3
 But may the righteous be glad
    and rejoice before God;
    may they be happy and joyful.

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
    extol him who rides on the clouds;
    rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
    is God in his holy dwelling.

6 God sets the lonely in families,
    he leads out the prisoners with singing;
    but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

What is Home? The night before we left we tucked each child in bed in their “home”. We asked curious questions in regards to their 2019 One Word. Some know and some are still deciding. Our oldest son came to our bedroom after he had been tucked in. He said, “I don’t have my one word yet, however I do have a word. I would like to call the RV by the word ‘Home’ since that is where we are going to be. I want to say I’m going home not I’m going back to the RV”. We loved his recognition of this transition and appreciated his verbiage and insight to name this.

Last night when we got in the RV and tucked in their smiling faces for the very first time, the familiarity of home was with us. We are Home because Home is Us!

Client Visit:

We said hello to our first client along the way, South Fellowship Church. We enjoyed some delicious vanilla steamers and coffee in their coffee shop, Solid Ground Coffee House. We are in the desert headed to Santa Fe, New Mexico where we will stay for a few nights and try to get settled.

Thank you for all your prayers getting us this far.
