There are 6 days left before the Daley’s will be packed and on the road in a 36-foot travel trailer with our 4 kids and hit the road on an epic business and personal adventure around the outer edge of the US.

Last night was another capstone moment for me (Jessica)….probably my biggest yet because I feel different today. We formally offered substantially more hours to key leaders at Xcelerate. As soon as I sent the document through Panda Docs, I went to sleep with a smile on my face. Their place at Xcelerate is well-deserved. We do not feel alone on this path of leadership. We have many contributors that act like owners, which is why we call them Stakeholders. I say capstone moment because I like the purpose of a capstone. The purpose of a capstone culminates academia and experience that encourages critical thinking, problem solving, and skill and character development. Without this capstone opportunity, there is a wall holding them back. Well, the offer letter was a symbol that the capstone opportunities have arrived. The challenge awaits and has been taken.

It’s no mistake that today I move from checking emails to packing the RV. I am prayerfully considering how I will transition from Operations at Xcelerate to Leadership at Xcelerate. I am not going away, but I will show up differently. Having a different space to transition is perfect because it’s hard to get out a routine in the same place. There will be plenty to discover!

I was ecstatic and a tad tearful. I felt a little bit like an empty-nester this morning. Xcelerate has grown up, left home, and is outside my abilities alone. We want it this way. The impact is far more great! Yet, I do feel different this morning.

Where is God asking you to step aside and let others lead? What do you do with the open space?
