There are 22 days left before the Daley’s will be packed and on the road in a 36-foot travel trailer with our 4 kids and hit the road on an epic business and personal adventure around the outer edge of the US.

Numbers 6:24-26 says,

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

This prayer has been prayed over us and our children many times by our family, our friends, and our church. Be Grateful is one of our values that seems the most aspirational. It seems so many days we need the reminder to be grateful. In our fast paced world, it is easy to get really bent out of shape because of traffic, forgetting that we are in a car and not walking as much of the world still does. We get so frustrated when things don’t happen in our timing, when really we have so much to be grateful for. I sometimes feel like the children of Israel complaining about the bread that just fell from heaven. This value was birthed out of that tension.

As we live into that value, we cannot help but be grateful for our family. When we told them years ago about our dream for this adventure, I am sure even though their faces said, “that is great,” inside they were probably worried. Regardless, they have been VERY supportive of our 7 month journey. They are excited about our endeavor, and us pulling up to their houses like cousin Eddie. They bought specific Christmas presents we needed and wanted for our trip such as fun science experiment kits, riding toys, blankets, and even a metal detector. They have bought journals for each of us and scratch off maps as we ride in to every state. They are giving us money towards Disney World and computers for the kid’s school. We are SO GRATEFUL for the Daley’s and Marlowe’s. Thank you!

Over the years our family has embraced our dreams and ideas. This started the first year of our marriage when we told them we were planning to pack up our Toyota Camry with all our possessions and leave South Carolina to help start a church in Seattle. It continued through many crazy dreams including 3 years ago when Greg transitioned from a stable city job to join Xcelerate Business Solutions. It was a leap of large faith that God blessed, and we have never looked back.

Thank you to our parents, grandparents, sisters, brother-in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We are excited to see you soon!
